FAIT 2025: Final Matches for Primary and Secondary School Categories

Students from the A3i Short Mobility Program 2025 🇲🇾 had a thrilling experience at the Football AI Tournament (FAIT 2025), held at SK Seri Indera—organized by the Centre of Excellence for Advanced Sensor Technology (CEASTech), UniMAP in collaboration with the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM).
It was an electrifying event where the love for football met the power of AI 🧠⚡. With 28 schools and over 400 students participating, FAIT 2025 was a true celebration of sports, innovation, and collaboration.
Program Highlights
ASM Northern Region, as a strategic partner of CEASTech UniMAP, co-organized the program FAIT 2025: Football AI Tournament – Enhancing STEM Through Sports and Play from 4 to 14 August 2025.
This initiative gave students the opportunity to explore STEM learning interactively through a sensor-based football league, where player performance was monitored in real time. In addition, they were introduced to 3D design and artificial intelligence (AI) analysis, enriching their learning experience.
The program also showcased ASM’s expertise through the involvement of Associate Professor Dr. Ammar Zakaria and Associate Professor Dr. Latifah Munirah Kamarudin, both recognized as Top Research Scientists Malaysia (TRSM).
Overall, FAIT 2025 attracted 60 secondary school students and 250 primary school students, along with international participants from the A3I Asia Plus campus, including students from the University of Yamanashi, Japan and Pukyong National University, South Korea.

In a closely contested match, SMK Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen edged past SMK Derma with a decisive single goal, securing the FAIT 2025 Secondary School Championship.
✨ FAIT 2025 not only crowned champions, but also left a lasting impact by bridging STEM education, AI innovation, and the spirit of football. The tournament concluded with smiles, cheers, and the promise of an even brighter future.
